How Bağlama Akort uses the microphone and your settings. Sound is never recorded and never sent anywhere.
This is an English translation of the Turkish privacy policy. If the two ever differ, the Turkish text applies.
This policy explains how the Bağlama Akort app for Android uses the microphone and information.
What it does
Bağlama Akort helps you tune the seven strings of a short- or long-neck bağlama. For the string you choose, it plays a short reference tone, listens to the string through the microphone and tells you “Loosen”, “Tighten” or “Done”. In Free Tuning you can measure and save your own tunings.
Microphone
The microphone is used only for tuning, and it is on only while you are measuring a string. Sound is processed on this phone in real time and deleted immediately; it is never written to a file. Sound is not recorded and is not sent anywhere.
You can turn off the microphone permission at any time in your phone’s app settings; the Privacy screen in the app has an “Open app permissions” button for this. While measuring, a microphone indicator appears in the top corner of the phone (Android 12 and later).
Information stored
The bağlama type and tuning target you last selected, and the custom tunings you save (name and string frequencies), are stored only on this phone. You can delete them from Saved Tunings, or delete everything by uninstalling the app.
If your Android backup is on, these settings may be included in the encrypted device backup of your Google account; that backup is managed by Android, not by the app. You can turn backup on or off in your phone’s backup settings.
Internet and data sharing
The app has no internet permission. Everything works in airplane mode too.
The app does not collect any personal data or usage data and does not share any with anyone. There are no accounts, ads or analytics in the app.
Children
The app is not designed for children. The app does not collect data from children or from anyone else.
